Palm Cliff Wedding

Palm Cliff Wedding

As the bride prepared for her walk down the aisle to meet her groom, she wrapped a rosary around her wrist.    You see, this was the rosary she got when she sang for the Pope. What an amazing treasure to have on her wedding day!

But there were other treasures present at this wedding – the two children who would be a part of this family.    One served as best man, and the other as the most adorable ring bearer.

The bride, who wore a white gown and carried a bouquet of white roses and blue delphinium, was accompanied down the aisle by her grandmother.    And, she was given away by both her grandmother and mother.    Her sister was her bridesmaid.

For her Shell Beach wedding celebration, this bride chose a traditional religious ceremony. The reading reminded the couple that If you love someone, you will be loyal to them, no matter the cost.    You will always believe in them, always expect the best of them, and always stand your ground in defending them.

The first prayer asked that the radiance of joy on this special day, overflow with peace and harmony throughout the rest of their life together as husband and wife.    It also asked that peace and harmony continue to expand, bringing joy to their families and friends and to all others who enter their home and circle of life.

To commemorate their beautiful family relationship, the couple and their children participated in a shell ceremony. They were each given a shell to hold.    The shells symbolized their lives to this moment, unique and individual.    They symbolized their separate lives, separate families and separate sets of friends. As they held the shells, each person was asked to make a wish for their future together as a family. In this way the different paths were joined together into one.

Next, there was a final prayer for the couple. We asked for God’s blessing upon them as they journey down the path of life.    Then, the moment had arrived for them to be pronounced husband and wife.    Finally, the family cheered, and the couple walked down the aisle.

After the family members congratulated the couple, photos were taken on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The couple joined hands and enjoyed their first moments as husband and wife as they had some private photos taken on the beach.

This cliffs wedding celebration was a perfect way to incorporate a traditional ceremony designed for a very special couple.    May they continue to grow in love and respect for one another .
