Beautiful Gazebo Elopement

Beautiful Gazebo Elopement-

The fog hovered at the horizon line for this evening wedding, but on shore the sun shone with all of its brilliance.   No fog dampened the glow of this central coast elopement.   Waves crashed on the rock and our favorite friend the seagull who watches over most weddings announced the arrival of the couple.    It was the sweetest thing to see this couple walk up hand in hand  as they approached the beautiful Shell Beach gazebo for their elopement. The couple had their first look at a nearby cliff with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.  The bride wore a cream-colored satin wedding dress (and the cutest blush-colored shoes!!!) and the groom was handsomely clad in a pale grey tux.   For her bouquet, the bride selected her favorite flowers – hydrangeas.   The hydrangeas, with a touch of blush along the edges, were combined with cream roses and fashioned into a perfect bouquet.

I love it when the bride and groom take the time to write their own vows.   This couple went to the extra effort of saying their vows without referring to notes.   They truly spoke from the heart as they addressed each other.   The bride expressed how a spark was ignited when they first met and how that spark continues today.   That same spark seemed to glow in the bride’s eyes as she looked into the eyes of her groom, and as a tear ran down her cheek.   And the groom promised to love and protect his bride faithfully.   As they said their vows and slipped rings onto each other’s finger to seal the promises made in their vows.

The sincere love that they shared was so evident.   Fittingly, the hydrangeas in the bride’s bouquet symbolize heartfelt and honest emotions, truly expressed in these vows, as they committed their love and their hearts to each other.   Hydrangeas also symbolize a deeper understanding between two people, a quality that I am sure this couple will nurture through the years.   You could see in their eyes and the tender way in which they spoke to one another that they were truly committed to each other.

The couple asked that their favorite quote from Anna and the French Kiss be incorporated into the ceremony:   “For the two of us, home isn’t a place.   It is a person.   And we are finally home”.   Yes, they were truly home in each other’s embrace as they exchanged their first kiss as husband and wife.

May their life together be filled with endless love for each other and for their expectant daughter, and may love encircle them as they become one loving family.   And may today be just the beginning of a life filled with joy and happy memories at their beautiful gazebo elopement .   Best wishes!
